Design. Your. Life.
I didn't really MEAN to be a Graphic Designer, it just sort of happened that way. I needed somewhere to keep track of all the work I've done, and a website sounded like a good idea. So I created ellybean designs. From there I showed my friends the website I'd created to house it all, and they, in turn, showed their friends, and then suddenly people were asking me to do work! Work? I don't think so. Love, more like it.

"Write something catchy" is what I said to myself when trying to come up with a title. So I wrote "Something catchy." It reminded me of a time recently when someone answered the same type of question literally. It made me laugh, I used to do that all the time! When I was younger. But why does age restrict what we can and can't say, do or not do, be or not be?

So while I am not an age, I am 26.  While I am not an artist, designs, art, concepts and creativity are my life and while I am not anything else, I am Elly.

Insert client problem here.

Graphic Design is about solving problems. How does my client want their company to be viewed? What sort of language can I use to appear to a specific audience?  What solutions can I come up with that will give them the result I want. Graphic Design isn't about images really, it's about words, and forming those words into images. Design is the product of human interpretation of these words. I believe if a client has hired me to help solve their problem, I have to approach it in a way that makes sense to me.

Buckminster Fuller summed it up by saying: "When I am working on a problem, I never think about beauty. I only thing about how to solve the problem. But when I have finished, if the solution is not beautiful, I know it is wrong."
